On October 15th, 2020, CAG had the honor of winning the bid for “CP1a: Underground section from KM 0-132 TO KM 0+615 – Ben Thanh to Suoi Tien (Route 1), Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway project” from the investor – Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Authority – Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

Ben Thanh Station is a complex project and also the first underground commercial center in the city. The project plays an important role in solving traffic congestion and environmental pollution, contributing to the development of modern and civilized urban areas, thanks to the advantages of the Metro system with fast and automatic transportation when integrated with other transportation systems such as buses and other forms of transportation. It can be said that the Urban Railway is an important urban transportation strategy for Ho Chi Minh City.
